Electrospinning
Electrospinning is an efficient and convenient process for the preparation of thin fibers with diameters ranging from tens of nanometer to several micrometers. By the application of strong electric field on polymer solution or melt, nanofibers are generated. The process requires high voltage power supply for forming fibers. Electrospun nanofibers can find use in wide range of fields such as electrode material in energy harvesting devices, biomedical industries, filtration, protective clothing, composite materials, sensors, etc.
