HIGH VELOCITY OXY FUEL (HVOF)

High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF)

HVOF is a high velocity and low temperature thermal spray process used for depositing dense metal, alloy, carbide and cermet coatings. The carbide coatings developed by this process have the potential to replace hard chrome coatings. Flat samples of maximum dimension 1000 X 500 mm2 and round samples of 60 mm diameter can be coated. The HVOF facility utilizes LPG and oxygen as fuels and the velocity of the impinging particles is 800 m/s.
