Tapecasting
Tapecasting is an important ceramic processing technology in which ceramic suspension is cast as a thin or thick layer onto a flat surface using a doctor blade followed by drying and sintering. In the custom built machine, the Mylar sheet is stationary and the slurry gets deposited on to it. Ceramic tapes that can find application in microelectronic integrated circuits, space electronics, oxygen sensors and solid oxide fuel cells have been developed.
