AUTOCLAVES

Autoclaves

Autoclave processing is used for the manufacture of superior quality structural components containing high fibre volume fraction and low void content. The autoclave is a pressure vessel which provides the curing conditions for the composite where the application of vacuum, pressure, heat up rate and cure temperature are controlled. High processing pressures allow the moulding of thicker sections of complex shapes. Honeycomb sandwich structures can also be made to a high standard, typically at lower pressures.

Various sizes of autoclaves with varying operating temperatures, pressures are available to process both thermoset and thermoplastic composites.

Mark I Autoclave : Working space 1.8 M Dia X 4 M Length,  Maximum temperature : 200 Deg C, Maximum Pressure 7 BarG

Mark II Autoclave : Working space 2.8 M Dia X 5.2 M Length,  Maximum temperature : 250 Deg C, Maximum Pressure 7 BarG

Mark III Autoclave : Working space 2 M Dia X 4 M Length,  Maximum temperature : 350 Deg C, Maximum Pressure 15 BarG

Mark IV Autoclave : Working space 4.4 M Dia X 9 M Length,  Maximum temperature : 250 Deg C, Maximum Pressure 7 BarG
