Modeling of airfield and airspace scenario pertaining to an airport, simulation of airport with realistic flight schedules
The airfield scenario was modeled based on the airport layout information available in Jeppesen Maps. Similarly, airspace scenario was modeled based on the air routes to various destinations. The simulation was carried out using realistic flight schedules. This simulation was carried out using discrete-event simulation model. The simulation model is a stochastic and uses random variables to produce unique output representing day-to-day variations in air traffic phenomena.
