Dr MANJU S
DEPUTY HEAD

Mrs. Manju joined the Structural Technologies Division, CSIR-NAL, as a Scientist in November 1996. Her areas of work in Structural Technologies Division are concentrated mainly on Aircraft Structural Design and Analysis, Composite Structures, Structural Optimisation and Finite Element Method. She has contributed to the development of the in-house Finite Element Package FEPACS, Autoclave, Light transport aircraft SARAS, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) involving in the Structural Design, Finite Element Analysis and Optimisation activities; also involved in the research activities on improved finite element formulations, distortion immunity of finite elements, development of function space models for distorted finite elements and serves as a faculty for AcSIR PhD programmes. She has 15 papers in Journals and Conferences, 84 restricted Technical Project Documents submitted to ADA, C-CADD and STTD and guided 15 batch of students for their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree dissertation work. She has received 2 awards from CSIR-NAL for her contributions to the Structural Technologies Division- outstanding performance award for the contribution to the in-house finite element package FEPACS and the award for excellence for the development of control surfaces for the SARAS Aircraft using advanced composites.
