K.Velmurugan is working in the field of testing, analysis and control of noise and vibration of Aerospace structures since 9 years.
His work is primarily concerned with the acoustic testing of Indian spacecraft and launch vehicle subsystems to qualify them for acoustic environment. He is involved in overall test activities and responsible for handling vibration data acquisition system and report preparation during satellite and launch vehicle subsystem acoustic test.
He is one of the team members in commissioning of 1500 cubic meter reverberant acoustic chamber in ISRO campus at ISITE, Bangalore. He has experience in programming PLC and SCADA HMI for ISITE ATF gaseous nitrogen generation system and operation and safety interlock system for NAL ATF.
He has supplied high intensity acoustic calibrator to IISc, Bangalore to validate their MEMS pressure sensors. He is involved in the Leq sound pressure analysis of LCA flight data.
Currently he is working on the development of modified version of NAL indigenously developed Multi frequency multi level High intensity acoustic calibrator and design of driver circuit for wide band noise generator.
Research Interest
