Forced oscillation technique

A single - degree - of - freedom forced oscillation rig has been developed for measurements of dynamic stability derivatives. The rig features an electrodynamic shaker and a closed-loop control system to oscillate the model at the desired frequency and amplitude about a crossed flexure pivot. The rig is instrumented to measure the exciting moment and the angular displacement of the model and is capable of measuring pitch and yaw damping derivatives of aircraft and missile configurations.
