Stalin Murugan

Stalin. M is a Senior Scientist in the Materials Science Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore. He graduated with a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in 2003.   Subsequently, he obtained his M.Tech degree  from  Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai in 2007.  He is working in CSIR-NAL since 2008.  He made a significant contribution in the area of continuous fiber reinforced ceramic matrix composites (CMC) synthesis by chemical vapour infiltration (CVI) process and carbon nanotube synthesis through chemical vapour deposition method (CVD). Currently, he is involved in the development of CMC through reactive hot pressing and polymer impregnation and pyrolysis (PIP) method.  He is also involving in the evaluation of high temperature mechanical properties of materials (CMC and super-alloy). He is pursuing Ph.D in the area of ultra-high temperature ceramic matrix composite (UHT-CMC) at Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli.

Development of CMC and UHT-CMC, high temperature mechanical behavior of materials.
