SHIV NARAYAN DR

SHIV NARAYAN DR
SENIOR PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST

Dr Shiv Narayan’s research is concerned with computational electromagnetics and radome applications to aerospace. Particular focus areas are design and analysis of frequency selective surfaces (FSS) towards realization of high performance radomes, antennas, and radar absorbing structures (RAS) using advanced numerical techniques (i.e. MM-GSM, TLTMM) for the last eight years. His research is predominantly theoretical and numerical studies leads to actual implementations. Dr Narayan is also actively involved in the development of FSS structures, antennas, and RAS, and its evaluation.

A key element of his research involves the design and analysis of airborne radomes using ray based GO method in conjunction with aperture integration method towards hardware realization. A further focus of recent research has been the estimation of EM field distribution inside microwave cavities such as microwave oven and microwave autoclave. More recently, work has started to design reconfigurable antenna based on metasurface.
