RAGHAVENDRA RAO S DR

Raghavendra Rao S, joined CSIR-NAL in the year 2006, is a Senior Scientist in the Centre for Civil Aircraft Design & Development (C-CADD) Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore.

He obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, M.Tech from University of Mysore and holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Visweswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum in the year 2014.

At CSIR-NAL, he has extensively worked in the area of CAD/CAM, CAD modeling and validation of Aircraft components, Master Geometry Surface Generation, Virtual Assembly of the components (Digital Mock-UP), Computer Aided Kinematic Analysis.

He has contributed to evaluation and improvisation of SARAS Main Door Locking Mechanism, Track-Link Mechanism for actuation of Trailing Edge Flaps, and  Control Surface Actuation Mechanisms through Computer Aided Kinematics.   He was instrumental in Design and Fabrication of 1:10 Scale Low Speed Wind Tunnel model of LCA Mk2 Navy Aircraft.

He has about 06 publications to his credit in National / International conferences and referred Journals and 4 technical / project documents.  He has more than 14 years of experience in this field.
