PRASHANTH BANAKARA

Prashanth Banakara is a Scientist in Centre for Civil Aircraft Design and Development (C-CADD) division of CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru. He has a Bachelor degree in “Mechanical Engineering” (2006) and has a Master of technology degree in “Design Engineering” (2009) from VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka. Earlier he has worked as a Scientist Fellow from 2011-2014, currently he is working in design and stress analysis group as a Scientist. He primarily involved in stress analysis of various aircraft structural components of SARAS, C-NM5 and HANSA by using both Finite Element Analysis and SOM approach. His area of interest includes: Structural analysis, Fatigue and failure analysis of various aircraft structural components, Optimization techniques of landing gear system and Belly landing impact studies.
