Dr. Jagannathan is currently working as a Principal Scientist at the Structural Integrity Division of CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University in 2000, M.Tech in Applied Mechanics from IIT Madras in 2006, and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science in 2019. Prior to joining CSIR-NAL in 2008, he worked as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering in an affiliated college with Anna University from 2000-2004 and 2006-2008. Dr. Jagannathan's expertise is in testing metallic and composite materials according to ASTM and other relevant test methods, design evaluation and certification testing of aircraft materials and structures, life prediction models and methods for aircraft materials, and service load experimentation and servo-hydraulic test systems. He has published 25 articles in international journals and has handled more than 10 sponsored projects for programs such as HANSA, SARAS, and LCA, as well as for private industries.
