VENKAT S IYENGAR DR

Dr Venkat S Iyengar is currently a Principal Scientist at the Propulsion Division, National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. Since joining NAL in early 2008, his research efforts have focused on CFD , Spray Characterization in high speed flows, and Aviation Biofuels. Prior to joining NAL he worked as a Design Engineer in the Advanced Combustors Engineering Centre of Excellence at GE Aviation, Bangalore. In this role he was involved in the development of spray and combustion models for gas turbine combustors. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and completed his masters in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University Ahmedabad. He has about 15 years of research experience and is a member of the Combustion Institute (Indian Section). His current research interests are in application of non intrusive diagnostic techniques in aviation including the use of biofuels and in high speed flows.
