Sanjeev Kumar S

S Sanjeev Kumar completed his Masters in Manufacturing Management in the year 2014 from BITS-Pilani. Prior to this he did his B.E in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 from UVCE-Bangalore.

He joined Advanced Composites Division (ACD), CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories in the year 1999 as Scientist-B working in the field of NDE of composite aircraft structures. He continues as a Senior Scientist and is involved in the NDE of composite aircraft structures/components by Infrared Thermography & Acoustic Emission techniques. He is In-charge of a team to carryout Materials Testing (Component Qualification Tests & Incoming Inspection) as per standards and Visual & Dimensional Inspection of fabricated Composite components to check for surface finish, flaws, component dimensions & profile.

His current research includes implementation of newer NDE techniques for improved defect detection in composite aircraft structures with focus on non-contact, fast and non-intrusive techniques.
