Hemalatha K

Mrs. Hemalatha K is a Senior Principal Scientist and  Head of the ICAST & Telephone System Group  of CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore. She graduated with a B.E degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University in the year 1994. Later, she obtained her M.S degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in the year 2011.

She joined as Scientist – B at Structures Division of CSIR-NAL in 1995. She has worked in the areas of Parallel processing, Computer graphics, MIS development, Network management, Computer and telecommunication network management, Network security, Biometric systems management, Surveillance systems management, VC management, IT infrastructure management and Cyber security.

Her responsibilities include management of entire IT and telecommunication infrastructure of all the campuses of CSIR-NAL. She has been instrumental in getting 2 high speed NKN (National Knowledge Network) connections to CSIR-NAL. She leads an eminent team who are operational in giving uninterrupted network and telecommunication services to CSIR-NAL. Under her leadership, her team has won an “Excellence  Award in the field of Infrastructure Support Services” under CSIR-NAL Outstanding Performance awards-2017. She is a member of many technical and administrative committees at CSIR-NAL.
