GIRIDHARA BABU Y

Mr. Giridhara Babu Y. has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara (2000). He worked at Anand Engineering College, Agra, U.P as a Lecturer for one and half year with the teaching assignment to B.Tech students. Mr. Giridhara Babu Y., joined the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utapadan Nigam Limited as an Assistant Engineer in May 2003 with the assignment of 110 MW turbine operation and maintenance engineer. Thereafter, Mr. Giridhara Babu Y., Joined CSIR-working as a Senior Scientist and leading the heat transfer group. His main interests are in gas turbine blades film cooling, combustion chamber liner cooling, heat exchangers, heat transfer, static and rotating seals. He has about 28 publications in international refereed journals and conferences in addition to several invited lectures.

He is a reviewer for several international SCI journals including Propulsion and Power Research, Journal of The Institution of Engineers (India) and ASME GT India and ISHMT Conferences. He is a Life member of International Society of Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT).

Qualifications:

1. B.E (Mechanical) from M.S. University of Baroda, Gujarat (1998).
2. M.E (Mechanical- JP & GTPs) from M.S. University of Baroda, Gujarat (2000).

Experience:

1. Currently working as a Senior Scientist at heat transfer group, propulsion division, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories from March 2007 and working in the field of gas turbine blades film cooling, combustion chamber liner cooling, heat exchangers, heat transfer, static and rotating seals.
2. Worked as an Assistant Engineer for five years at Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utapadan Nigam Limited with the assignment of 110 MW turbine operation and maintenance engineer (2002-07).
3. Worked at Anand Engineering College, Agra, U.P as a Lecturer for one and half year with the teaching assignment to B.Tech students (2001-02).
