Anil Kumar A Dr

Dr. Anil Kumar is a Senior Scientist in CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. Prior to joining CSIR-NAL in 2006, Dr. Anil’s work history encompassed nearly four years of research and development experience at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He worked as Guest Scientist at Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), Berlin, Germany, during the year 2000, before pursuing his Ph.D. work at this institute. Dr. Anil Kumar holds a M.Sc. (1998) in Polymer Science from the University of Mysore, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (2004) from the University of Potsdam, Germany. Dr. Anil Kumar has conducted research work at Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), Berlin, Germany for his Ph.D. thesis.

Dr. Anil Kumar’s research interests include Thermoplastic Composites (PPS and PEEK polymers), Nanocomposites (e.g. CNT, CNF and Graphene) and Next Generation Composite Materials such as No Oven No Autoclave (NONA) and Liquid Epoxy Materials (e.g. RTM6) for structural applications. The primary focus is on Development of Cost-Effective Materials and Processing Techniques for the manufacture of aircraft composite structures.

Dr. Anil Kumar has published several papers in reputed scientific journals and conference proceedings. He has given lectures in the national and international conferences and seminars. He is a life member for Society of Polymer Science (SPS), India and Indian society for Advancement of materials and Processing Engineering (ISAMPE). He serves as reviewer of Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Polymer Testing and International Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology.
