AKSHATHA H T
SENIOR PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST

Akshatha H T is a Senior Scientist in the Centre of civil aircraft design and development (C-CADD) Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore. She graduated with a B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from Mysore University in the year 1999. Subsequently, she obtained her M.Tech degree in Computer Aided Design of Structures (CADS) from Visweswaraiah Technological University in the year 2002. At CSIR-NAL, she is currently working in Design and Stress Analysis Group. Her major contribution has been to the 14 seater multirole light transport aircraft Saras prototype and production standard versions. Her work covers broad spectrum of airframe design related activities such as analysis of aircraft components using state-of-art FE tools as well as SOM methods, structural test-analysis correlation, design optimisation, aircraft integration support etc. Apart from the essential analysis of aircraft components for their realisation on aircraft, she has also worked extensively on simulation and analysis of special problems involving system components such as bellows, belly landing simulations. Another noteworthy work has been on online measurement of loads on aircraft critical component during flight test trials and their successful correlation with theoretical estimate. Her experience involves work on both static and transient dynamic environments related cases with metallic and composite materials. She has also contributed to fatigue analysis of aircraft components, damage detection of structural components at moderate level.
