SCIENTIST

Mr. Gajendra D. G. obtained his MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas at Arlington, TX, USA with minor: Design optimization, Composite grid structures. Previous to this, he did his BE in Aeronautical Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, India.  Before joining CSIR-NAL, he worked for 4.2 years as a Global SME for MDAO application called HEEDS at Siemens PLM. Provided MDAO (Multi-disciplinary Analysis and Optimization) solutions to Automotive and Aerospace clients and prospects. Undertook multiple Aerospace and Automotive Engineering service projects. His expertise includes, Multi-Disciplinary Analysis and Optimization: Evolutionary Algorithms (GA, NSGA-2 and Simulated Annealing), Gradient based search algorithms, DOE methodologies, Pareto optimization (conflicting objective trade-off optimization), Virtual prototype design automation, parametric optimization. Composite grid structures: Composite materials as panel stiffeners, grid pattern analysis etc.

Achievements:

(As Global SME at Siemens PLM)

-Worked on over 10 Multidisciplinary Engineering service projects (Multidisciplinary in the sense of domain, CFD and CAE, not in terms of their fidelity 1D 3D) for both aerospace and automotive accounts. 20% YOY sales growth for APAC region due.

-Visited Japan (Feb 2020) as part of the Global SME team for MDAO customer advisory board dedicated to integrate customer requirements into MDAO applications.

-Presented at SIEMENS CONVERGE conference, Las Vegas, USA (Aug 2017) on Product Development Acceleration using Design Space Exploration.

-Presented at NCMDAO conference, Bangalore, India (Mar 2019) on Design space exploration and its advantages in Thermal applications.
