B. Kodanda holds B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from S.V. University College of Engineering, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and M. Tech degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Systems Engineering from IIT Bombay. Presently pursuing Ph.D at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU-Anantapur) on the research topic: “Air Transport Demand Analysis and Modelling for Domestic Air Travel in India”.

He joined in CSIR-Central Road Research Institute, New Delhi as Scientist B and then joined in CSIR-NAL on transfer to Centre for Civil Aircraft Design & Development (C-CADD now renamed as RNCAC: Roddam Narasimha Civil Aircraft Centre) to work on Civil Aircraft Projects/ Air Transportation, Civil Aviation Policy and Market Research and Analysis related studies. Presently serving as Chief Scientist in Systems Engineering Division.

Kodanda’s field of specialisation and research interest includes Transportation Systems & Traffic Engineering, Urban Planning and Highway Engineering, Civil Aviation and Air Transportation Development with focus on feeder airline operations/ regional and short haul air transportation systems, air transport system demand analysis and modelling, airline network structure analysis, design and optimisation.

He has 6 journal publications, 20 conference papers (8 national+12 international), 25 Project Documents & Special Publications (PDs & SPs) to his credit. He has attended 27 conferences (25 in India+2 abroad). He has peer reviewed 6 International conference papers and gave 8 invited talks. He is a member of 7 professional bodies (5 in India+2 abroad).
