Computational Electromagnetics, Stealth Technologies, Active RCS reduction, EM design and analysis of structures such as antennas, radomes, radar absorbing structures
Research Interests
Indigenous development of stealth technology based on Radar Cross Section (RCS) estimation and control, Radar Absorbing Structures (RAS), low RCS phased arrays, low RCS Electronic Warfare Antennas, and Active RCS reduction. Other areas of interest include EM analysis of propagation in an indoor environment, RCS estimation of electrically large structures, antenna-radome interactions, deep learning models for EM applications and THz technologies for high speed 5G/6G communication systems.

Ph.D. (Electronics Engineering) from IIT BHU Varanasi in Year 2000.

1. Patent filed through AR&DB, DRDO on “Low RCS Patch Array using Hybrid HIS-based ground plane” Application no. 202111048164, ERIP/IP/2001095/M/01, Ref.: PT/2020/15322, in September 2021.
Invention: Microstrip patch array with low radar cross section (RCS), and efficient radiation performance in terms of VSWR, return loss and gain.
2. Patent under process through DRDO ER&IPR on “A thin radar absorbing structure for planar/conformal X- band applications” in 2025.
