Research Interests

Design & Development of Wind tunnel balances, miniature balances and special force measuring instruments. Automatic balance calibration rigs, Automatic Separation Rigs. Research on using AM technique for wind tunnel models, Wankel Engine design, Special supports for wind tunnel models, and novel concepts for Scaled down model Design.

Professional Experience

"Indigenization of Wind tunnel balance design from Dia 50mm to Dia 5mm used for force and moment measurements for scaled down models for major National programs. Dia 50mm is used extensively in HSP program.
Designed an Automated 2014 (Electrically Actuated) Rig for balance calibration to be realized (Students Project).
Designed and developed 6 DOF manual rig(2014) for separation studies on data point in a given blow down and in 2019 GTS Rig with automated X & Z (Electrical) for separation studies.
Contributed for mechanical design of 35hp and 55hp wankel engine development in propulsion division.
In 2019 Proposed the concept of Additive Manufacturing technique for pressure measurement with Dia 1mm pressure port and demonstrated if feasibiity in 2023. Also Demonstrated the feasibility of printing a Dia 0.5mm pressure port. Exploring the feasibily on technology for internal surface of the AM models"
