"1) Real-Time Signal Processing and Estimation for Defense Applications- This includes target detection, tracking, and trajectory estimation of airborne vehicles and missiles, both with and without the use of AI/ML techniques. It also involves the development of real-time neural networks for trajectory prediction. A key component is multi-sensor data fusion (MSDF), which integrates data from various sensors—such as MAWS, radar, IRST etc—to improve state estimation (position, velocity, attitude) and enhance situational awareness in complex defense scenarios. 2) Condition Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis in Mechanical Systems- which includes RUL prediction and predictive maintenance through fault detection, diagnosis, and classification using AI/ML. Involves signal processing techniques (e.g., FFT, bispectrum), feature extraction, and machine learning for health assessment and failure prevention."

Missile and airborne vehicle trajectory estimation using physics-based models and filtering techniques (e.g., Extended Kalman Filter, Hidden Markov Model (HMM) etc)
2. Launch and impact point prediction in ballistic missile defense scenarios.
Tracking of the missiles/ aircraft using passive sensors.
3. Multi-Sensor Data Fusion (MSDF)-Fusion of sensors like, radar, infrared, and other sensor data for improved state estimation and situational awareness in aircraft and missile systems.
Implementation of MSDF algorithms for robust detection,tracking etc under uncertainty and noisy environments.
4. AI/ML Applications in Defense and Fault Diagnostics- Real-time neural networks for trajectory prediction.
5.Integration of traditional models with AI for hybrid estimation frameworks.
